headed to vermilion for the first time

    i am going to lake vermilion next week for the first time with a bunch of buddies. just wondering if i could get some pointers on the lake such as whats good for waleyes, bass northern etc. where are they biting and how deep. just the usual. i am not sure what part of the lake we are on but i can get a map.

    Have fun and be sure to post your results I have only been to Vermillion, snowmobiling, but we did put tip-ups down and caught some pike Couldn’t even begin to tell you where we were, but it wasn’t far from the Vermillion Club Again.. Have Fun

    My family has a place on Niles bay. Are you staying on the East or the West end of the lake?

    I think most people miss out on that lake by not fishing the deep weed lines AM & PM.

    Midlake reefs during the day.
    There are plety of both of those stucture types in the Norwiegan bay Area.
