How did everyone do on opening weekend. Fishing was a little slower for me. Caught some fish opening day anywhere from 3 ft to 30 ft deep. most of the fish I caught were on a lindy rig trolling at 0.5 mph or less and by no means were they attacking it. Heading back up there this weekend so if anyone has any good info im all ears

Slower bite, but did find this nice 26″ in about 20 fow. Got her in a bottom transition area (rock – mud). Yellow hook, short snell, shiner minnow. Fun fight. Maybe the T-storms will wake them all up and we will see hundreds of these caught. She is back in the lake for the next cpr.

I was bass fishing on Vermilion for the opener but caught a 26 inch walleye and 28 inch walleye. Both came on jerkbaits in 7 ft of water off of tiny islands with huge isolated boulders off of them. Bass fishing was pretty incredible and the muskies were all over. I boated a 48 incher and a 41 incher.

    That’s a fantastic opener.
