Most are on the Western side of the lake. Most also now have bear proof food bins and small toilets back in the shrubbery. They are first come, first served. Many of the maps show them as campsites. My favorite is the one north of the campground back in a bay. Just around the corner from it is a shore lunch area. There is also a small island about a quarter mile from shore and I usually store my food out there over night. Helps keep the bears away. It’s also only a few minute boat ride from the car, which is only ten miles from Cook. The only two downsides to the sites are bears and no good way to secure your boat against those sharp granite rocks that line the shore. Every boat wake just grinds another few molecules off the hull.
