My Dad and I spent this past weekend up at our cabin on the West end of the lake. We fished the Niles bay area and had both limited out within an hour of fishing Saturday night. Mornings were horrible all weekend without a single walleye caught. However, both nights were awesome starting at about 7:00 till dark. We were using crawlers on Lindy Rigs in sand from about 12ft-17ft. We were doing very well on chartruese and white Gamakatsu hooks. We released at least five walleyes over 20 inches in just the two nights(about six hours) total that we fished. Unfortunately, the bluegills were also hitting out lindy rigs like crazy, so you have to deal with the gills to get to the walleyes, but it is well worth it.
