I am proud and excited to announce i am going to be accepting a job in the Lake Vermilion/Ely area this summer! I have been commuting 2+ hours JUST to make it to my favorite fishing holes from my current location….well not anymore!! I should be up there by early may and just in time to scout for the walleye opener.

Lake vermilion has been my favorite lake for the past 5 years now! It has beautiful wildlife, awesome scenery, and not to mention some of the best fishing in the great state of MINNESOTA! I have personally made some of my greatest memories with friends and family there.

So if anybody is coming up or planning a trip to Lake Vermilion or the Ely area let me know and i’d love to shoot you some info on how the bite is going! Or….i am also considering doing a part time super affordable guide service. I have not worked out all the details but when i do i’ll let you all know. keep in touch and good fishing to all-A.J. Thanks for the tip Chuck. If i’m in the area i’ll say hello to Jim up at the portage. One day I talked to some guys that fished in Trout lake and they said it was a slower day for the lake….only about 100 walleyes

I will be cooking in between part time and full time. Some where around 30-40hrs a week MAYBE because lets be real…. I’M MOVING TO FISH NOT TO WORK.

What side of the lake are you staying on? Maybe meet up and say hi or at least keep me updated if you get onto a good bite. Good fishing to you one Vermilion and as always stay safe out there.

This year, we will be at Shamrock Marina (Near Fectos Point). My parents had a place on the very west end of Big Bay, so we tend to be within 2-3 miles of Pine Island most of the time.
