Travel on Rainy Lake and many other fisheries in Borderland should be smooth sailing after this weekend. My buddy and I put nearly 150 miles on our sleds in the last couple days checking things out. Snow has dropped or melted and it is forecasted to get cold tomorrow. Atv’s and sleds……both should be fine for the time being.

After a bit of a breather that found me building my new “FISHERMANS” floating dock for this summer we’re getting back at it tomorrow!! Eyes/Perch tomorrow and then slab chasing along with some big whitefish until April!!

    FISH…………BEWARE!! I’m anxious!!

    Hey Ryan,

There is really only one consistently plowed road this year, and that is off Rainy Lake Marine in Sand Bay. Travis and Thor do a very nice job keeping that road wide and clear. $5.00 for their hard work. I would expect that road to remain plowed well in to March. The Park Center did not plow a road this year due to our heavy snowfall early hindering our early ice development. I believe we NOW will finally start MAKING ice again!! Below zero and I hear the wind HOWLING outside. Aaaaah WINTER IS BACK

Nice – I wouldn’t mind shooting up for some pike before ice out

I agree Chris the lake is in great condition for ice fishing. We have planty of time left to ice some walleyes, northerns and crappies. I am looking forward to it. See you on the ice…
