Take note of the mid-day lunch slung on the ice as a nice walleye was hooked up!! The whole team got a kick out of that! I don’t care how good brats are cooked over a bed of charcoal is……Hooke up walleyes are TOP DOG!!

I’ve never had any luck fishing with brats. It seems like the grind is too loose or maybe the skin is too thin to stay on the hook. Venison beer sticks have been my go to snack to use ice fishing.

Chicken wings and brats are key for big walleyes Big Mike knows how to do it right on the ice. Next time I come up I am bringing a harpoon to ensure these pigs make up the hole. It was funny seeing grown men weep at the site of those eyes spit the treble at their faces and swim back to the abyss. Had a great time. See you next year!
There is no doubt our pictures don’t do the trip justice. A little “Snakebit” but hey that’s part of the game. I bet next year with a little tweeking…You’ll be pulling those heartbreakers out onto the ice!! Look forward to next year!!
