So this morning I notice some red on the far shoreline. After further investigaion I Come to find out Marcum apparently decided being first in every spec class for flashers simply wasn’t good enough. Needed to be first on the Rainy Lake ice for our upcoming 2010/2011 season! “SHOWOFF!!”

*Special note to those not wanting to swim. I attempted to put a shoe print on the shoreline ice to gain first Angler on ice honors. Notice there is no picture of that.

You keep pushing your luck, you’re going to need those ice picks.

    And some dry clothes….

    Hi Chris.
Just curious, how much snow y’all have up there?

We’ve a cabin on Grassy and been thinkin’ about making a wintertime trip this year.

I’m at the opposite end of the state and the water is just starting to thicken. Don’t even have shoreline ice yet.

    Hey Nicko

We’ve been getting some snow over the last few days. 3-4 inches!! Really REALLY hoping the snow machine shuts off soon allowing early ice formation. Smaller bays are locked up now with a bit of a snow blanket on them. Our Main lake is still wide open. Feel free to give me a shout prior to your trip, and I’ll provide you with further current lake/ice information.
