Gentleman!! The crucial period of time for serious ice anglers is upon us. Success rarely is achieved without proper planning. A successful Ice fishing season starts with proper organizition. Spend the needed time this year Getting all of your gear operating,charged, sharpened, started,lubed,spooled,loaded……ORGANIZED!!
These next couple weeks serve as a great time to get all your Ice Gear ready to rock and roll. Don’t get caught behind the 8 ball when that early season bite takes off. We all know that the the first safe ice of the year provides a tremendous opportunity for trophy caliber fish.
Charge the Marcum batteries.
Fire up your strikemaster auger.
Pull over the sleds/atv’s.
Re-spool ice rods.
Fill propane tanks,
Test portable heaters
Get personal clothing organized
Jig,hook,bobber….Tackle Inventory!!
Ice Picks
Spud bar sharpened
Augers Sharpened
Set up your Otter (Don’t get caught sitting in it)
Stow your first days gear in your Otter Portable.
When the day arrives YOU will be ready!! Heck Preparation/anticipation is half the game!! Get your new toys out!!
Wednesday I’ll be at Marine General in Duluth representing Marcum Technology from 9-5pm!! If your anywhere near the area they are holding a day long event that should be a great time. Stop on by!! Marcum has a tremendous line up to look over this year AGAIN!! THEN we can talk about pounding big borderland walleyes!!
