Unseasonably Warm weather has greeted many Fall customers fully expecting to be greeted with crisp morning air with an overwhelming desire to throw an umbrella in their shorelunch cocktails. Yesterdays 72 degrees coupled with a 5mph whimper of a wind was an absolute gem of a day on Rainy Lake. It always amazes me with the noticeable lack of boat activity shortly after the Chillins head back to school. Our 220,000 acre pig paradise with angry Tank Walleyes is still only experienced by a small handful of walleye anglers. I sometimes wonder if the “Daze Camp” weren’t out there with our customers if any of those fish would get to snack on any Rainy Lake One Stop Shiners!! Don’t worry Mr. Tanker…….We’ll be out feeding you again in the morning!!……….Or in a couple hours No rest for the fishing addicts this time of year!!

A big congratulations to the Gary Woody team in the Gold corner venturing up for the day from their lake home on Vermillion to experience the “Wrath of the Fall Walleye” here in October. Both Gary and Greg are longtime customers of ours who have endured the Cold, Windy, Sleety, and now unbelievably beautiful weather borderland has to offer. Fantastic fish gentleman!! So nice “Junior” was able to get in on the action!!

Feed 5 tanks today with silver shiners from one stop ranging from 22 to 26 got most on video it was a blast. It sure doesn’t need to be this warm but I’m not going to complain to much.

Welcome to IDO Lindyrigger!! What a beautiful day yesterday huh!! Those are great fish, and on video?? VERY COOL!! CONGRATS!! Aren’t they fat right now?? We ended up boating 25 fish surpassing 20 inches with around 15 of those hefty gals over 23inches. Our biggest fish was a heavy 7lb/26.5 inch walleye. Our first 2 spots we fished yesterday morning pretty much bombed with only a couple dinks, but then we found them spread out over a series of humps, and were able to sling jigs laced with those wonderful spottail(Silver) shiners you mentioned from the One Stop!! Boy do I prefer those shiners over the traditional goldens. Again Welcome to IDO LR, and thanks for sharing!!
