Simple…….but often overlooked

In the “Technology Era” of Walleye fishing many anglers seldom take proper “SIMPLE” steps in maintaining a RAZOR sharp hook while fishing. This is especially vital when fishing granite lined lakes like often found in many Northern Minnesota fisheries. This is just one very subtle, but extemely crucial step an angler can take to help ever so slightly tilt the odds in his favor when it comes to hooking up those TANK hard mouthed Marble Eyes. As a general rule of thumb you should be able to scratch a fingernail with the point of your hook. My theory is……..After all the work we’ve done preparing to find you MR. WALLEYE………The Weather we’ve endured to Dance with you Mr.FINICKY…….The Modern Day equipment we’ve invested in to Locate you Mr.Genius………..If the point of my jig so much as Tickles the inside of your boney mouth…….YOUR MINE BABY!!

    Great reminder Chris

All too many times we blame a lost fish on a poor hook set when in fact it may be due to dull hook

BTW… Keep those awesome post coming ,I have always enjoyed reading them.
