Solid 75 walleyes today in 7 hours of fishing with a couple newcomers to the world of Walleye fishing. Literally couldn’t keep up with baiting hooks with only 2 customers in the boat!! Biggest walleye of the day measured 28 inches (CPR’D) ,and a nice limit could have been kept by 9 a.m with ease. Action was so hot I simply sat between the customers keeping one eye on the Humminbird 1197, and one eye on the rod tips. The walleyes would make swoops out of the school upwards and within seconds one of the rod tips endured a sharp strike!! There was lots of “SET IT MAGGIE” Or “Doug REEL REEL REEL!!” Beautiful Walleye fishing today once again in “Manland”!! OH BOY IS THIS GOING TO BE AN AWESOME OCTOBER!!

Nice fish Chris. We are taking off Friday morning for a full week in Gods country. Hopefully the walleys are snapping on the Canadian side of Rainy too. I hope you know you are making it very hard to concentrate on getting everything done so I can take off for a week. I am getting pumped Always enjoy your posts. Thanks

    Hey WB

I don’t fish the Canadian side for walleyes much as the US side is so good. With that being said the Canadian side of Rainy Lake offers fantastic walleye fishing also!! I’m sure it is difficult to concentrate, so while your making your 100th list of tackle to bring along don’t leave home without a nice assortment of 3/16 oz to 1/4 oz. H20 Precision jigs. Orange/Chart, Purple/White, and Both Orange/Chart, and Perch patterns with the tiger stripes!! I’ve been using Shiners, Fatheads and Nightcrawlers. Anywhere from 22 to 42 f.o.w. depending on the day, and structure your fishing. Rainy Lake One Stop has the H20 Jigs in stock.

Hey Chris- Thanks for the reply. Yes, I already have the H2Os in all your favorite colors. Now all I need are those Rainy Lake tanks. Is it Friday yet
