Kudos to the Frabill Conservation Series Nets!! I picked one up a few days ago to help alleviate hook issues in the netting. I’m not a huge rubber net fan mainly becuase of the weight, but also for lack of size for big pike. Although I liked my Beckman Net I was finding Raps were really causing me some problems. The coating on this new Conservation series really can save some headaches for anglers, and ultimately is much more effective saving big fish released. I was impressed with the heavy duty construction!! By the way the 2nd fish of the day with the new net in the boat taped a hefty 41 inches!! Pretty good test!! The Pike did the devastating net “Spin” when hitting the net, and everything held up well!!

What is the model numbr on that net Chris. I put a frabil in my boat this year to. The main reason was to be a little easier on the fish we release. It has worked well for this. No more deep splits of the tails. A couple of issues we do have is there is a fair amount of resistance trying to swing the net up stream threw the current. I am also not real crazy about the size of my net. It could be a little bigger. Here is a photo of the one I am using.

    Hi Mike,

Thats not the net I’m using, and I’m sure with current the smaller holes could make it a bit more difficult for quick scoops in the current. I’ll check my model numbers and take a couple close up shots. Big net….Put (2) 40 plus pike in it in the past 3 days, and had plenty of extra room. No resistance problems for quick net jobs, and NO HOOKS IN THE MESH. Best I’ve ever used.
