As your local body of water hits the skids with the heat of summer get your groove on in Borderland. The Lake that just “Keeps on Giving” only seems to get better as the summer progresses. Right now the bite is White hot for tank fish, and with warmer water this year those fish are going to be like BEAVERS come late summer and fall!!! I expect to see some real heavyweights hitting the nets. The July/August timeframe allows anglers to work deep mud/rock or weed/rock transition areas with H20’s and minnows. Come September and October the Monster eyes seem to come out of the woodwork. Combination trips with giant slabs and walleyes are the norm this time of year!! Heres a few Mid summer/fall tanks from last year.

Cant wait for my fall trip up there, we may have to make it 2 days, it will take at least half of the first day to come back to reality!
