Suggestion for visiting anglers when entering “Manland” here on Rainy Lake!! Never bring 1 of anything that you think might be effective. Never cast anything that has some sentimental value. Rule #3 never fall in love with your tackle!! I am currently looking to contact the folks at Rapala to see if they have a recycling program, and might be interested in leaving a bin at the public landings. Look at Nates Face!! “Like….Did that just happen!!” “Manland” Pine trees, Rocks, Walleyes, and Men….OK…AND WOMEN….Pitting wits against the biggest, baddest….AND ANGRY!! I’m pretty sure if that Rap could talk it would be muttering……”Please keep me the **** out of there…..IT’S SCARY OUT THERE!!” Who are we to place blame.

I’d like to keep this thread going on tackle that seemingly has been overmatched on the “ANGRY WATERS”

Do you ever look at your crank baits in the morning and say to them “yes, we are going to put you in harms way today”. There are a few cranks hanging out in my splash well with missing hooks and broken bodies. It tough being a crank bait in big fish water.

IF you dont want to loose it dont put it in the river.

Two part epoxy and electrical tape. Have done that a couple times on some Rapalas I use to tick off muskies with. They still catch fish.

Ok, its not quite Red Green quality but effective nonetheless.

I had a Rapala DR Fat01 get destroyed last summer by several pike but a musky finished her off and ripped off the eyes and the back hook.

Only “8” more days and I will bring up a new supply of Rapala’s to add to the collection. Mine still have all of the treble’s attached…….can’t wait to get up there.
