Over the past few years I’ve ordered numerous items from Dean at Everetts resort, and all I can say is THANK YOU!! you are always so PROMPT, and educated on what would best fit my needs up here in NOWHERE land. I have many friends that get to frequent your shop in person, and I always here the same thing about your fishing selection and expertise. Heck my buddy Andy must spend 1/4 of his paycheck with you each month!! LOL!! It is so efficient for my guide operation to order this stuff online from you, and have it shipped to my doorstep. For all of you anglers that might be like me that may do some shopping online put Dean at Everetts on your list. You won’t be dissapointed, and heck online it doesn’t even cost me cookies .

Looking forward to the new St.Croixs!! They’ll be thrust into action very soon!!

Great to hear Chris, and for the guys who have been working with Dean for years now, that great service comes as no surprise.

Anglers who want to experience the same great selection of walleye tackle (including rods, reels, pre-tied rigs, and a host of other walleye- and sauger-specific equipment) without making the trip to Red Wing can now do so through Dean’s website:

Everyone should definitely check out Dean’s website. He’s got many of the basics already available online, and I hear he’s hard at work to get his full selection listed. Dean’s shop is impressive to say the least.

Have been reading posts about Dean’s Customer Service and had a chance to stop at Everts last week while on a trip go steelheading. You guys aren’t kidding a bit. You would have thought that I was Dean’s long lost cousin (and I didn’t even bring cookies). Asked him a lot of questions about river fishing (will be back for FLW) walked away with $35.00 worth of baits and a little more knowledge about the river.
Most shops that I visit seem to be staffed by non-anglers and those that couldn’t care less about the customer. That isn’t the case with Dean and Everts Resort…..will be back

Jim I think you hit the nail on the head there. It is very enjoyable to discuss your fishing purchases with knowledgeable people. Far to often I’ve felt I know a bit more about what I’m buying than the guy selling it. I guess that is why so many of IDO’s sponsors are such great fits for the “In Depth” fisherman. We take it fishing seriously, and want a dominate product that best fits are needs on while on the water. Dean has taken the time to determine the St. Croix rods that will best fit my style of fishing. Fishing rods certainly aren’t cheap these days, and I’d prefer to have the ones I need. It is simply amazing how important the proper equipment from Boats to tackle a angler needs to perform at the top of his/her game. Now I’m not saying you can’t stomp big fish with willow branches out of your old Jon Boat by ANY MEANS, but advancements in Technology continues to tilt the playing field more and more. I personally enjoy buying from the guy that uses the stuff, and isn’t just selling it.

I have the same experience here Chris…
I would choose dean over Cabelas or BPS anytime! You cannot match Deans service or expertise!

Dang it you guys!! Now I’m going to have to send COOKIES!! A simple agreement would be sufficient.

Oh Dean….C-Bear has been known to forget ingrediants like Butter/sugar at times. She might gaff me if she finds out I broadcast it.

Always been impressed with how Dean goes out of his way to make sure everybody has a good day of fishing. A few pointers to the try-before-buy on the rods to helping with a simple repair to his generous support of local organizations… incredible dedication to all of us anglers! THANKS Dean!

Could not agree more! The look of that blade bait rottiserie is one for the ages. Anyone looking for river walleye baits – Dean has it narrowed down to the, “must haves”! . Knowledge?…. Nobody dispenses it better than Dean Marshal
