I heard a few vehicles went through the ice over the weekend, any truth to the rumors? Chris G. you still fishing or did you pack the Otter away and fuel up the Skeeter?

    Hey Jesse,

I’m still fishing, but haven’t been on Rainy Lake for a few days. Be careful boys!

Jesse, I know a few went through on Lake of the Woods, so I’d imagine the ice conditions would be very similar on Rainy. The ice is plenty good for ATV’s but as Chris said, be carful out there.

I’d be careful on ATV’s. Fished up there the last three days and seen a Polaris Ranger with only the top showing. Be really careful if you plan to venture out on ATV’s.

Myself and many of my friends have all pulled the pin on the ice fishing season for Rainy Lake. The ice is getting really bad. Last night you could almost use your foot as your auger. It was a great run while it lasted.

But don’t forget the spring pike fishing. Chris and his inner circle have many great places to hook you up with a great day or weekend.

    Hey Matt,

(Member of the inner circle) Ice conditions are tough out there no doubt. You ready to get after those big pike pal?? I’ll give you a shout in the next couple days in regards to a couple trips I have coming up. Might need an extra guide and/or Pike Slinger.

    Chris,
Yes definately a trip to remember up there and great fishing to say the least. Too bad mother nature threw us a curve ball the last day. Again thanks for everything and make sure to give Andy a shout and tell him thanks as well. Definately looking forward to the walleyes in Dec as long as it’s not -38 EVERY MORNING. Had to bring out the sucker huh. Knew I should have just kept my mouth shut.
