Had some action packed Crappie action again this weekend!! Highlights were some beautiful 14 + fish with many 12,s and 13’s!! Few big whitefish, but no state records!! Great customers/Great Friends!!

BTW Whitefish are an amazing eating fish. Can’t get much closer to Cod than the taste of Whitefish. I know a lot of people smoke them, but very good baked or batterfried also. The have a bone similiar in location to a Y-bone for a pike. With a few simple cuts you can effectively remove the bone leaving a very tastey “BONE-FREE” meal. Whitefish feed on bugs/larvea similiar to many crappies, and are often found suspended in the water column. They put up a heck of a battle on light crappie gear.

Cal, I’m just not sure if its a good idea. You’ll never want to fish for 12-13 inchers with me again
Gran,……do you have intervention classes afterwards??

    Hey Chris!

Great job on the Weather Channel story. I think you did MN-International Falls proud. Don’t know if this has been on before, but I saw it this weekend.

Great job Chris. As usual, I had a blast. You know the crappies are big when you burn out a reel . For you boys just heading up, make sure you bring some sun screen , some diamonds, and a few to celebrate with.

Oh ya, and your fishing license too in case you run into Lloyd R Turbo! Chris can tell you!
