Starting to work on our Borderland “Ice Tan” again!! Every year around this time I start to get the good old fashioned “ON ICE” tan! Moving-n-Groovin with the newly found warmth in the sun makes for pleasant days fishing in Sweatshirts. We caught roughly 100 crappies over the past couple days with the biggest fish a flat out BULKY…..Yep..Ri-Donk-ulous slab!! 15 3/4 inches, and a mouth like a large mouth bass brings this years total to 18 slabs over 15 inches so far!! Also caught some nice walleyes!!

Actually Chris just has REALLY-REALLY small hands. Like the guy in the BK commercial. Makes those fish look that much bigger.

Just kidding, of course. Chris has been lighting it up this winter and the pics he posts up during the month of March are bound to drive the rest of us a little crazy with jealousy.

    Chris,
Sure is looking like a excellent year so far, and another good couple of months remain.
How can you stand it, better be pinching yourself.

Thanks Boys!! Yes I believe those Crappies are truly “Eating good in the neighborhood” the past couple days have been a “Swiss Cheese fest” in attempts to locate the biggest and baddest burning holes. Big Crappies are often basin roaming with little to no structure for anglers to help eliminate water. Angling Pressure often moves the schools of larger fish while some of the smaller fish remain. When that happens sometimes it is simply some “Blue Collar” Movin-N-Groovin. Fortunately we were able to locate a few nice pods of fish, but I’ll admit the couch felt pretty good last night!!

I love the small hands clip!!

Congratulations again to Mike with his trophy 15 3/4 Freshwater Tarpon of a Crappie he iced!! (Yep……Diamond jigs packed with Euros.)
