Fish got a bit finicky on us in the last few days. Silly fish!! Was still fortunate enough to put the heat to this 30 inch/10.8 oz. Tanker!! Fish followed my customer, and I up off the bottom 5 times before making a BIG mistake. Laid the beans to this fish! Told my customer that fish is going to go 30 inches!! LOL!! IT DID!! Never NEVER NEVER gets old seeing fish of this caliber. Of course she posed nicely for a few digital snapshots, and was released unharmed to grow for you upcoming trip.
I was using an H20 Precision jig in the Orange/Chart. Firetiger pattern in the 1/8 oz. size. GLOW EYES! Full shiner with as much hook exposed as possible. Kudos to H20 for making a 1/8 oz. jig strong enough to land 30 inch walleyes!! 
Had a couple back to back to back big fish days. 20lb pike/30 inch walleye/16lb pike!! Aaaaah Love Rainy Lake!! 
We’ve got the Permanents out, and warmed up!! Call in sick, and venture north fellas!! 
FYI 30 inch walleyes look BIG on the Marcum with the Gain turned up!! Like having a big stomper buck walking down your shooting lane!! Lights out for you!!
We’ve had some ridiculous battles with GIANT PIKE as of late. Will discuss later!! Gotta get on the ice!!
