Great day dropping the hammer on more beasts. Close call with a freak had my buddy and slumped in our chairs in silence. My buddy says it is the biggest walleye he has ever seen, and I would say the same. very similiar to a fish I had a close encounter with last year. Came in like a 22-23, but slammed on the brakes at the hole while immediately throwing it full throttle in reverse. Spit my hook into my lap and vanished. Freak 1 Daze 0………Long season I tell ya!! LONG SEASON!! And I am VERY persistent!! LOL!!

Still won some battles icing some awesome fish. Biggest went a fat 26, and an even heavier 28.

Tip of the day…..Don’t put keeper fish on your buddies face mask if he is a LOT bigger than you. Especially if he doesn’t realize it until it he is slipping it down his face

LOL!!! I am ON BOARD with Marcum Technology. Hook, Line, Sinker, Cool Hat, Sweatshirt, LxI, VX1, LX5!!!! Only reason I’m not lipping off about my underwater viewing is that we have such a tea stained water our clarity is very minimal. With that being said I’ve been known to roadtrip to some crystal clear bodies of water that would warrant one of these units taking the trip with me. Very Proud to be part of their team, and only hope to add to their success story!! As most of you might know I was a longtime Vexilar guy won over by the Marcum Technology. Also says it makes her feel all fuzzy inside!!

Yup, My GF stole my Marcum hat with the fold down ears about 10 seconds after I walked in the door from the ice fishing show. Oh well looks like I’ll be wearing the Thorne Bros hats.

Rainy Lake Marina dropped of their seasonal Rainy Lake ice access permits; they hope to have the road open and running by the end of next week.

Just thought I would share the success some friends had fishing Rainy Lake last Saturday…

Congratulations Boys!! Tommy that fish isn’t gonna bite ya!! HOG!! Looking at the ice formation in that picture amazes me how fast we made ice. We’ve got about 10-12 now in less than a week!!
