Special Thanks To Ed and Dave for sharing the boat with me on the last trips of the year. The bite wasn’t hot, but we did get some nice slot fish between the two day of fishing (around 20). Also a couple nice boxes of 14-16.5 beautiful eating walleyes. Funny thing was the Giant smallies had seemed to take over a lot of my favorite walleye structure. At first I thought it was a fluke, but none of us thought that towards the end of the trip popping big smallie after big smallie. Very fun hooking those giant brown fish, and yes they fight like a freight train. With that being said I would say the Brown fish definatley seemed to be displacing some of the walleyes that were holding on that structure. Awesome time sharing the boat with fishing addicts chasing Monster Rainy Fish! Hope to see you boys this hardwater season, and don’t forget those Giant pike next spring!!! Can’t catch them ALL by myself
Unfortunately my camera battery died early on in the trip, and have been unable to get the pics transferred in high enough quality yet to post. We’ll get them to add to this post and there are some absolute TOADS!! Ed if your reading this send them to me at full strength (not shrunk down). If you have already shrunk these pics down it might not be possible. No big deal, but you boys have some super pictures of some tankers!! DANG CAMERA!!! Also if you get a chance send me the pics from the other camera. That one “Bus” Smallie I just about broke my wrist on I’d like to see again!!
For those Smallmouth lovers although most of my requests are to chase Walleyes, pike and Crappies, we have tremendous Smallmouth fishing up here!! In case you didn’t know
