The last couple days here in Borderland we’ve received a big cold front with some brutal winds. Fortunately I didn’t have trips planned during those days. The Water temps are cooling very nicely, and you can bet this is going to be the key ingrediant for triggering big fish. This is my favorite time to land a trophy walleye, and the big slabs are going too. Last year on either this exact same timeframe I was fortunate enough to catch and release a 32.5 inch walleye. I’m hoping she pushes 33 this year!! Time to set the shotguns down for a day boys, or better yet bring them along and do a little Wings and walleye weekend!!
