OK OK…..These were not the True Ri-DONK-ulous slabs were noted for, but the papermouths are getting shredded as I type. Trust me I’ll make this short and sweet as I’m heading out!! Shooting water temps at 70 degrees, and as they fall this is gonna be wild. We ended up with 4 at 14 inches, and they were averaging 12.5 inches. Trust me the TRUE Ri-DONK-ulous slabs aren’t safe now!! We know where you live

    Pink and white Flu-flu…….

    Combo trips PRICELESS!!

    Chris,
We are heading into Gabro/Bald Eagle next week. I know these are a little different than the water you are fishing, but could you throw a little advice to pull crappies and walleyes out of those lakes. What depth are those crappies in now? Sounds like a big cold front is moving in by Monday. Will that push them down much?

I’ve actually fished both the waters you’ve mentioned, but a long time ago and early in the season. Crappies will be found in different portions of the lake/river systems differently in accordance to baitfish movements. I’m sorry to say I won’t be much help on those bodies of water for a fall trip. With that being said come your graph if your bringing one in, and watch for suspended fish. Have a great trip!!
