As proven over and over again a simple Thill slip bobber set up fished with a egg sinker, swivel mono lead and a 1/8 H20 Precision oz. jig can put the hurt on walleyes. And boys trust me EVERYONE likes to see a bobber pop. Great set up for kids and parents too!! 
Don’t be afraid to fish this set up in a bit of a chop as it is likely the most consistent vertical jigging presentation you’ll find, and if weighted correctly very little resistance for the fish when they can’t stand it anymore!!
