In dedication to getting kids “Hooked On Fishing” I’m going to post a weekly bit of information that anglers can use to help pass on some of the passion we all enjoy in our sport!!
As we are in the middle of summer my guess is that kids will soon be entering the stage of……..There is nothing fun to do around here!! Well since the days of Lawn Jarts are behind us (Now that seems a bit dangerous huh) Set your kids up with a few 5 gallon pails and a spinning rod. Put a sinker on the end of it, and have them practice dropping it in the bucket. Give them different stations to cast from!! Don’t be shocked if Dad and mom might not benefit from the cheap form of entertainment too!! I think having a fishing rod by the backdoor of the house is as important as a baseball bat and golf club!!! Afterall Practice makes perfect!!
