Our group of 3 slipped out for about 2 hours today looking for slabs. We were not dissapointed as we located 60 degree water and Crappies in some new spawning grounds. Ended up catching 29 slabs. 90 percent of the fish were 12.5 inches with a couple at 14 inches and a couple at 11.5-12 inches. Will be doing a complete Crappie fishing report tonight!!

Great fish Chris. My wife and I also love chasing big Crappies. We will have to plan a trip soon. We will be coming through the Sunday before the 4th of July on our way to Cyget Lake. It will be Trisha 1st trip across the boarder. Should be a good time. Congrats on the Crappies.

    Hey Dan,

The big slabs of Rainy Lake are a lot of fun!! This time of year we turn our combination trips more towards walleyes and crappies as many of the big concentrations of giant pike start to migrate deeper. July-October is unbelievable for concentrations of LARGE walleyes!! Might want to dip that Skeeter in this tea stained body of water soon!!

Good luck on your Trip across the border!! I’m sure you two will have a blast!!

We’ll get both you and Dave M. up here soon!!
