As I put my 4th layer of clothes on and down my second cup of Joe I just have to chuckle!! 25 degrees……Nice Brisk wind……And a slippery driveway to deal with!! Sure nice to see the snow again!!! I think maybe after my boys from Illinois are done for the day or FROZEN we’ll re-string some Christmas lights around the front of our home!! Heck it isn’t a secret here in International Falls everyday is Christmas!!

So on a more serious note yesterday we experienced 40mph winds and 65 degree temps which turned into a giant sound and light yesterday evening/night. Today temps plummeted 40 degrees!! Boy I bet those fish are FIRED UP!! LOL!! Better go throw some salt on the driveway!!

You didn’t tell me that I had to take my snow shovel along next week. Should I take my ice fishing pole along too?? You sure do have to be a tough fisherman to handle the extreme weather up there.

    Wimping out again.

Days like this I am glad I am no longer guiding. Current weather at 7:55 a.m. 27 degrees, west wind 29 MPH gusting to 38 MPH, wind chill 9 degrees. I believe I’ll juat go hang out at Hardees.

Killing me since I was crushing the smallies Sunday & Monday. My partner drove all the way up from the Cities so hope we can get out tomorrow. He likes those bottom feeders but maybe I can talk him into some bass fishing for half the day.

    Welcome to IDO Dad!!

After a shivering discussion with my customers we all felt it was best for hot drinks today and fishing tomorrow instead!! No argument here!! LOL!!

I had to thaw my foot control for the trolling motor and pry up the livewells this morning!! We’ll get after them tomorrow and Saturday!! On the way back from the landing I was listening to the Ifalls radio station and they said average highs for this time of year should be 69 degrees!! Hmnnnnnnnnn……… Might have to break out the ice gear again!! I DO LIKE ICE FISHING!!

    Boy……….
I was gonna start calling you a host of name associations with the word “wimp” ~ then YOU TOTALLY REDEEMED YOURSELF (Dumb & Dumber #2 all time favorite) with “Might have to break out the ice gear again!! I DO LIKE ICE FISHING!!”

Welcome Chris’s Dad! Carefull tho….IDO can be as addictive as fishing…well…ice fishing that is

    Chris,
My friend Steve and I are no Girlly men, we braved some brutal conditions tuesday and wednesday. AND we didn’t embarrass ourselves either, caught some nice ones.
    Report in a few minutes.
