Pulled a couple nice pike yesterday, and looks like next week will start the movement inward. Bays are becoming ice free!! We received a bit of rain and wind over the past couple days that has did a number to the ice!! Daze Casket is finely tuned and ready to roll!! I will be trying out a new line of big pike baits this year, and cannot wait to start slinging!!

Pike are starting to show up, but so far not in any areas we enjoyed such great success last season. Access to good producing bays has been very limited thus far, but expect it to crack in a couple days. Come on Ma Nature you can do it!! We’ve been getting some nice numbers of pike, but thus far haven’t been tagging the big girls. Warmest water has been KEY. I suspect the big and dumb are staying deeper possibly still under the ice sheet awaiting a bit warmer water for dropping spawn. We’ve been getting pike up to 7lbs with most of the fish being decent eating size pike (3-5lbs). I expect the big fish to be showing up any day now. BTW Snow/sleet/rain today!! NICE!! LOL!! It has been very windy, and looks as though the ice is really getting a beatdown!! Took the Queen and friends out on some new haunts with canoes last couple days to tag a few eating sized pike along with a few larger fish. Biggest pike went 7lbs. Should be slinging BAITS that big this week! Look for the next warm spell to start the GIANT PIKE PARADE!! Biggest pike always like to be fashionably late!! Never fails!!

Tight Lines Team!! Nice Fish Super Brit, Chels and Fishing Queen!!!
