Hey boys!!
This could be a great year for big walleyes over the first couple weeks of the season as they mill around spawning grounds. I’ve said for many years to have a shot at a state record you will need a late ice off, and get a freak that hasn’t dropped spawn. Based on our current weather patterns this could very well be that year. Not only will you have a shot at a monster walleye, but the Bruiser pike are going to be ready for action also!! Don’t miss it!! 
So, you promise if I book a trip with you that I will be the new state record holder? Sounds good to me!
When do you expect the ice to go out on Rainy this year?

Things can change in a hurry!! We’re only in the middle of March, so if we get some warm rain, wind and rain things can change in a hurry. I expect Complete ice off. Which means being able to travel from The West end of Rainy to Kettle falls around first part of May. We will be pounding big pike before complete ice off though!! Don’t miss that!!
I can’t imagine the amount of beer it would take. That’s like back to back holes in one or rolling 300’s. 
I did roll a 300 then a 279, so maybe we catch a 18lb walleye and then a pike a pound or two under the record!! I guess that would be ok too!! Really want my name on that walleye record. If you recall the record was caught out of the seagull river which if my memory serves me correctly comes out of SAGANAGA?? Early in the year and full of spawn. HMNNNNNN!! Late ice off…. Hmnnnnn!!
