    Good Afternoon Eyetroller!!

Heres the story behind that pike!! 45.5 inches, and just over 20lbs!! Caught on 4lbs mono on a big shinner. That day I landed a 8 and 12lb pike also, but neither could hold a handle to that big girl. The other crazy thing about that day is between 3 of us we also landed (2) 28 inch walleyes (1) 27 (1) 26 and numerous between 20-24 along with (8) 14-16 inch fish. Fair to say we we’re talking a lot of smack as we sailed off the ice on our sleds!! Sometimes the stars align for a guy!! That was a heck of a day!!

    Hi Chris,

That sounds like an unbelievable day. But the more time you fish, I suppose your chances of a day like that increase.

    Hey Troller,

You are exactly right. There is no substitute for time on the water. Whether it be a good day or a bad day I try take something out of it. That was a day in which the baitfish had located in big numbers over a piece of structure, and we were right in the middle of it!! Lots of fun!!
