The missus and I spent the week of Labor Day at the cabin on Grassy Portage Bay.
Fishing was steady but slow. The wind was ferocious the first 3-4 days we were there.
Temps were upper 80’s to lower 90’s Sat, Sun, & Mon. Tues we had a fairly good sized storm and the temp dropped 30-40 degrees for the rest of the week.
We brought home 6 Walleye, 8 Northern, 5 Crappie, and 2 Smallmouth bass.
No monsters to speak of this time around, only a couple of slightly oversized Walleye.
I think I snagged a snapper at one point – good thing I switched over to making my spinners with 7-strand wire instead of 25-lb monofilament: Didn’t lose a single lure this trip.
