Wind from the East Fish bite the Least

Two days ago we had a dominant east wind, and as my group headed out on our excursion I kept thinking about the east wind. Of course thinking I could top THE EAST WIND stuff we played the win with the best structure and worked the graph. Finding quality marks on the graph was difficult to say the least UNTIL we went into 50 f.o.w! Nope I didn’t fish that deep, but in my estimation that is where those fish were in which we were after. In all honesty it was a tough outing landing 10 fish over the slot and about 15 other walleyes, but we worked for them pretty hard. The next day the the wind switched back to the WEST. My buddy and I headed out, and past some spots in which we had fished in the past as the boats were as thick as spring woodticks up here. Not much into fishing with crowds, and also realize by the time lots of boats start working a pattern the pattern will likely change, or the fish will be forced to move with the pressure. We got a long ways away from the pressure and PUT THE WOOD to the big fish during an afternoon run. 25 walleyes over 20 inches with about 50 walleyes caught. I’ll be sure to post some pics from the weekend excursion tomorrow, but remember this Wind from the East fish still seem to bite the least. Wind from the west Fishing still seems to be the best, no matter how much we try to disprove the system. Doesn’t mean you can’ t catch fish, but the instability in the weather definately seems to have them messed up. Go get em guys and gals the fishing continues to be outstanding, and this fall is going to be UNREAL!
