I’ll tell you what these H20 Precision jigs are awesome jigs!!! I know I’ve talked about them before, but thought I’d share this with you. The otherday my boat was being worked on (GRRRRR), and my entire jig stash was left behind in my main guide boat. I took out my smaller boat, and had to scrounge up a few jigs I had at the house. I grabbed a smattering of sizes, colors and brands. I have been on a hot jig and minnow bite as of late. That particular night we did well, but had a noticeable amount of missed fish. Beyond that there was a noticeable difference of how the minnow remained in optimum position on the jig. I’m not sure how you rig you jig and minnow, but I run the hook through the mouth out the gill and bend the minnow a bit while turning the hook to run up through the back. With out a long shanked jig FORGET IT with shiners. What I have found to be key is that the bait keeper on the H20’s give these jigs another holding point in the mouth of the minnow instead of simply wearing through the back of the minnow. Also with the sloped transition of the back of the jig it provides a great look coming into the minnows mouth. Lastly the further back positioning of the hook and the wider gap drastically increased my hook ups ONCE AGAIN! Kudos to the H20 Boys!!! I make a living catching fish, and you’ve made it a bit easier!!! Oh I almost forgot… I don’t have to sharpen each hook out of the package either!! In my opinion if they don’t scratch your fingernail they aren’t sharp enough.
