For several years now I have enjoyed having a small stock of minnows at my dock in good shape. Early in the season a simple minnow bucket will keep the minnows alive as the surface temperature of the water isn’t warm enough or changing enough during the day to effect the health of your stock. Later in the summer you can/will save significant time/money/energy with the use of the Lindy Bait tamer. I prefer to sink the tamer with a small rock to keep my minnows in the coldest water. For vacationers/houseboaters they are perfect!!!! The other nice thing is you can keep a nice selection of your own bait on hand. FYI always seperate shiners from the rest of your minnows. Something about those minnows not playing well with others I guess. In years past I have brought 4 Tamers into the BWCA keeping our stock of minnow alive and safe (OTTERS) for a week with no problem!!! Just thought I’d pass it on in case your packing the boat for your “UP NORTH” fishing trip! Time to get up here as Rainy is on fire!!
