Well I have my first Rainy camping/fishing trip with the family under my belt. Got my best walleye off the campsite at 23″ on my 3rd cast of the trip. Followed quickly by a couple 15″ smallies. Unfortunately I didn’t get out fishing at prime time the whole weekend. Managed a few smallies up to 19″ and some small eyes and sauger. Biggest pike was 32″. We were dodging storms and wind occassionally and that hampered my fishing time..Had a lot of family time around the fire and exploring with the kids. Great time..too short..The new Lakemaster chip saved me a lower unit…Unfortunately I was in a hurry as a storm was coming and the speed of the loading wasn’t readjusted for my speed..Just as the chip loaded and I was on plane a rockpile dead ahead flashed onto the screen…I got off plane (barely) and into neutral before the bad metal on granite clunking…Fortunately only lost about 1/4″ of metal off the back of the skeg..would have been a catastrophy without the chip…
