    7-12″ of ice and walleyes, sauger and pike are biting.

    6 weeks later – we now have 24-30″ of very good ice and walleye fishing has been excellent. Just stay away from traffic.

    2 of us went out for 2 hours this afternoon and released 3 walleyes at 27, 23 & 20 and kept a 15 + 2 15″ saugers. It was actually very slow and a very light bite. We saw fish on the screen the whole time and they’d follow a jig or jigging spoon and minnow up 3-6′ but very takers. The ones that bit were nice though.
