The walleyes have been going crazy the last few days on Rainy! The bays are loaded, and all you need is a little wind to have some really good fishing. Most of of the walleyes we’ve been catching are in the 20 to 25 inch range, Wow talk about nice fish, and a blast to catch! BTW plenty of keeping size to be had also even though roughly 80 percent of our catch have been over 20 inches. What a problem to have. This bite will continue to be good for at least a few weeks with the rising water levels, and the relatively cool water for this time of year. I have bass fisherman the next few days, and I’m anxious to get after those Big Rainy Lake Smallies! Will try keep you posted on how that bite is too.

Damn. Your killing me with these great reports. Wish I could get up there but no chance with my schedule right now.

Cc rider, just get up here when you can, and remember they don’t start biting until you get there lol. In all seriousness we’re very lucky to have such an incredible lake to fish, and the entire open water season is good fishing.
