Just made my houseboat reservation for my first trip to rainy next August. Anyone know if there is a map with campsites available to use with the GPS on my android phone? I have the maps available from the houseboat web site and have started transferring the campsites to my paper “hot spots” map, but I would like to be able use my phone and get a “you are here” marking in relation to the campsites. Any suggestions?
    Thanks, Wally.

That might be a drawback of the phone app if the campsites and houseboat sites are not marked. Both my lakemaster chip and the chip in my elite7 have all the campsites and houseboat sites marked on rainy, kab, sand, namakin and crane. Are you sure that you will have cell coverage up there?

Don’t need cell service, GPS runs on sat. I am learning that navionics has an app for only $10 with Rainy on it. So now the question is ” does this map have the houseboat sites on it”? I’ll keep checking…. Thanks!

I just checked my Navionics app on my phone. The campsites and houseboat sites are not shown.

The charts on your houseboat will have sites marked. They are easily located with them. RLH is very helpful getting you set up. If you have ability to run Lakemaster chip, I strongly recommend it. Besides the help with fishing, it’s a real prop saver . I will be there Aug. as well. Not the best month for fishing. But if you are taking the family, its a great time of the year for weather. That said the fishing is still good. The chip will help with that as well. Enjoy!

Be careful going through the bays with navionics. The accuracy isn’t the greatest at all. There’s a lot of dangers that’s not on navionics that lakemaster shows

If I were you I would go through the Brule narrows that time of year, there are some real nice camping spots there and very close to some good fishing.
