Well back from Rainy Lake with mixed reviews. Fished two days after ice out in May, tough fishing but finally found walleyes in the Kettle river. New Super Hawk 1850 performed great. My fall trip in mid Sept was some what successful, caught fish but only eaters. Full canvas with side curtains worked great for rainy days, not good in high wind with electric motor. I guess trying to hit the “big bite” in spring and fall didn’t work to good. Plan on going a week in July and again in August for 2014. Hoping to find a more consistent reef pattern. my wife wants more action (fishing). After owning 4 Rangers and 2 other Crestliners I’m very happy with the new 1850 with 150 4s. A great boat for big water, easy to load/unload no problem with pulling on to shore for lunch and P breaks, easy to tow. Great retirement boat, tons of storage. HB follow the contour is awlsome! worth every penny. Never own another boat without full windsheild.

    Thanks for the report Wayne…
I enjoy fishing Rainy Lake reefs in August.
