Heading up in 10 days. I’m curious if the fish are still hanging around mid lake reefs, typical summer pattern? Is everybody who’s anybody fishing east of the Brule this time of year?

We put the beat down on fish between Fox Islands, Olsons Reef and Stubs Shoal from July 12-15. All class of fish including plenty of perfect eaters. The big boy topped out at 29.

They are still there and will be till the water temps start to drop.

What kind of water temps are you looking for to keep the fish on mid-lake reefs? Currently at 67, and shouldn’t change much looking at the next week of weather.

The fishing was good on Thursday,we were after bass ,but the points that had wind blowing in were also holding feeding walleyes. The bait fish are still shallow we seen lots of smaller minnows jumping out of the water when we would reel in.The falls pattern really haven’t started yet in my opinion there are still a lot of fish on the first break off the shoreline.

Leaving tomorrow at noon – looks like 15 mph wind the next couple of days… that will make things interesting.
