I’ll admit it…….Kelly and I cheated the cold for a period as February blew in a blast of nasty!! We tried our luck in the big arena……..The big dance!! We had a simply awesome time hucking Max Raps after everthing “salty”.

Pictured heres is a beautiful Snook falling victim to the purple ghost “Max Rap”.

And the only color I got on my face was from wind burn this weekend. Good job Chris, you have to keep the little lady happy and you didn’t look to sad!!!

It’s crazy how important cadence is to working a suspending bait. Apparently I thought ocean fish would simply rip us from our sandals, even with a sloppy retrieve. Yet after hours of exercising our shoulders I finally started to pay close attention to my cadence. The slash slash……..PAUSE soon equalled SMASHING hits. Who knew!! Even fish of the “Salty” variety like this retrieve.

This fish truly looks shocked to see us!!

Pics are worth a thousand words. Sheer excitement vs. the agony of defeat as Kell’s Max rap is seemingly hooked on a submarine. The fish/shark/sea monster never stops running.

The changing tides trigger fish, but can leave you a little wet!! I went in after this one trying to bring it to shore.

Whomever said “It’s all about fishing” has clearly lost his mind. I played “Pool Boy” and frankly LIKED the job!

Hey, I had fun fishing in Marco Island, FL from shore years ago. It didnt occur to me until later that I never even looked into buying a fishing license.

Do they have them? Can you buy a week long licence?

    Just curious.

Non-residents can obtain either a 3-day or 7-day license. If fishing from a pier some areas have a “Pier license” that covers anglers.
