Don’t overthink winter Walleyes

Often times we as anglers think we need to seperate our winter tackle from what we sling in the open water. Sometimes all of us can be guilty of trying to pound a jigging spoon into the throats of a Walleye.

As of late the simple 3/16 oz. H20 Precision jig and Shiner has been turning big Walleyes. The reaction we’re getting versus a jigging spoon is MUCH MUCH more aggressive. Jig……..Rise….JIg JIg……..Rise……..Plant your feet…..RIP IT!!

Very interesting you bring that up! I have often used standard jigs, down sized from the fall presentation and trimmed down ringworms/plastics! And out fished a jigging spoon/minnow head combo many times.
