Rainy Ice/ Fish Report 12/15/12′

  • #1291811

Well some unusual weather has come over the Rainy area today with freezing rain and some scary cracks under the ice. As of 12/15/12′ ice is good at 7″-9″ from Sand Bay to 8 Mile Island to the east and fishing is under way. Stay cautious around Rainy Lake City! Ice is ranging from 3″-6″ and can change in a hurry! Fishing should be good there but take precautions on the ice there! Fish are coming in the Sand Bay area from 25 to 35 fow. Some trophy fish coming as well! Shiners and Chubs seem to be working as good as any.

Get to Rainy Lake people! The fishing and scenery are unlike anywhere in the state! We’d recommend you have a Rapala Jiggin Rap in your arsenal! There are guides itching to get some people out on the ice, so give em a call for guaranteed success for Walleyes, Pike, and HUGE Crappies! Make sure you get your gas, bait, tackle, propane, ice, and snacks at Rainy Lake One Stop! Good luck out there!
