Despite the month long fury of Mother Nature we continue to “Feed the Beast”. Big Walleyes were found in a resting area yesterday likely because of the brutal weather; We force fed them H20 precision jigs with Shiners!!

from the expression of the ‘eye’s mouth, may need to bring a hand warmer with next week, too. But no snow, no ice, and no wind blown whitecaps; looks like another Rainy Lake Indian Summer. Will dig out the hot coffee thermos just in case…

That might be a good idea bud!! My woodcutting crew is rolling in Friday Am…..Wood-N-Walleyes Weekend!!

Looks like I picked up my Snosuit jacket just in time. Ready for sawing logs and smacking eyes
Gonna have to take it easy on T-man. He is on the disabled list for football with fluid in his knee, but he right in the starting line-up for fishing and cutting. Don’t tell his coach

Hmmmmm…. I have a chain saw, not adverse to lots of work, a topical anesthetic, girls sweating, big walleyes and steaks!!!! I know I can’t make it and shouldn’t be invitin’ myself, but I can always find a hotel room and bring a nice red wine!!!

RUMOR has it there will be a new Rainydaze Polar Plunge this year. Once again a “Man’s Version”……But girls are welcome. Chainsawing a hole in the lake; Cannonballs are encouraged. Will probably have to do this in February.

I’ll definately keep it in mind Mark. I just about bought our local grocery store out of steaks yesterday. They are soaking up some Chicago style marinade in our guest quarters as I henpeck this. Going to be a fun weekend!!!
