Big thanks to the Napa Coroporate group who chose Rainy Lake for a fishing trip this year out of Thunderbird Lodge. What a great bunch of guys. Though I only fished with 4 of the 22 guys; I would have liked to fish with you all. Laughter, Loaded Rods and Live-Wells teaming with Walleyes. What a corporate trip should be like. Big shorelunch daily made the trip even that much more memorable.

Kudos to the boys in “Sho-Time” grabbing big fish honors!!

Yesterday our boat found the Walleyes SNAPPING and seemingly hating our H20 Precision jigs with shiners. I burned up on a breakline to find it simply sick with fish. I dropped the I-Pilot and smiled as my customers as they all stared at the Humminbird 1198C “Circle of Trust”. I replied “This frankly could be a Humminbird commercial boys”…..That…… THAT Right there is precisely what haunts a Walleye fisherman’s dreams. IF These fish are in a good mood we are going to MURDER the FISH. Now before you drop….Stretch out and say these words to yourself. Slow lift,Load, Set!! Hooksets remain free. It was a Loomis Bent, and Frabill wet morning where the old Red and Black gathered a lot of attention at shorelunch with a limit of 15.5 to 16.75 inch “Lunchers” beyond many slots for 5 men.

Rainy Lake can be SO SO SO good, and can also be SO SO SO humbling for even the greatest of anglers. Don’t kid yourself as I see it DAILY at the resorts and with local friends. The last couple days have again confirmed that thought process. As fall blows in the days of widespread holding patterns diminishes and location becomes far more critical in nature. With that being said when you are on top of the movement and transition…..You’ll never put that “Blotter” back behind your ear as your marking a BINGO all day long baby!! YEll it with your NET

Pictured here is a $240.00 smile!! You guys were priceless and I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed our trip. My stomache still hurts from laughter and my net requests a vacation while seemingly being a bit upset with her tour of duty at the “Daze Camp”.

If anyone seeks a big or small corporate outing feel free to contact me. I help coordinate the whole deal from resort bookings to meals to guide service. Fun and Fish are specialties of ours.

    Chris,

I have to say it was fun being the envy of the other fisherman. Rolling in to shore lunch the second day and having everyone come over to check out our netfull was fun….I think they learned the first day what to expect.

This trip was nothing like what I expected. I’m not an avid fisherman, although I’ve been out a decent amount. I was extremely impressed from start to finish with what Mr. Granrud provided for us. I couldn’t have had more fun if I tried! From the fabulous fishing, the entertaining dialogue, and Chris’ expertise I’m hooked on walleye fishing! My dad and I just picked out a trolling motor for the old bluefin and plan to try our hand at catching some down here (twin cities).

I can’t speak highly enough of Chris and Rainy Daze guide service. If anyone is even contemplating putting a trip together don’t hesitate to contact Chris, you won’t be disappointed! I hope to make the trek to Rainy Lake again and hopefully be on Chris’ boat. I already ate the walleye we caught, it’s about time for some more!

Thank you very much Chris, we all had a blast! NapaNick
