Another fantastic day fishing with customers on Rainy Lake. Between my customers and I we must have landed over 30 walleyes again taping over 20 inches. On my 7th cast in a row catching slot Walleye, I decided to take a break and grab a photo in the midst of more epic Walleye fishing in the the great Red,White and Blue!! It went like this 22,22,23,21,20.5,22.5 and then 24. BTW did not catch a fish on the 8th cast, but did on the 9th!! Customers beat the big fish and enjoyed a great shorelunch as we dodged the storms!! Just another day at the office!!

Blue H20 Precision jig from Custom Jigs and Spins. http://www.customjigsandspins.com and fathead. Bob….BTW Rainy Lake Walleyes are not happy with you.

    A “Texas Double”.

Twin 21’s. Nice fish men!! We needed to station Frabill nets around the “Sho-TIme”.

A relaxing and FILLING shorelunch enjoyed by the entire team!! Tough to beat fresh Walleye within the confines of Voyageurs National Park.

Around 4pm we pointed “Sho-time” back to Sha-Sha resort. We needed to head directly into the eye of the storm. Rain, Lightning and loud claps of thunder SCREAMED FRABILL “Storm suit” baby!! 56 MPH had 21 feet of Skeeter ticking the tops of the waves and grown men with smiles pasted on their face. Things like “This ******* boat is SCREAMING” “That Yamahs is……..” It’s “Sho-Time” baby!! Just sit back and enjoy the ride….Oh and grab the Oh **** bar!!

For the guys that watch the radar…..and then go anyway!!

I had to laugh the otherday as I was asked if I had been checking the weather. I said yes…sure have. They said “Are we going?” my reply “I just check weather to determine fishing locations”

Looking forward to it!!! Yes we’ve been murdering the fish. Sometimes you think everyone must be. Still as we were filled out by 10 am today with a beautiful 12 fish limit I had a boat come fish by me. He was a nice gentleman mind you. He of course asked how we were doing. He then said that he hadn’t had a bite yet. Case in point. It’s easy when your on the right fish at the right time of day and fishing the right pattern. Then coming into Sha-Sha resort after my 1/2 day I overheard a group of 6 who caught 8 Walleyes between the 2 boats? Sometimes…….MOST OF THE TIME a minor difference is technique or location can be the difference between a patented “Daze Smackdown” or a snoozer. We landed close to 25 Walleyes fishing from 8:30-11:00 am today and burned off the water before we melted in the day’s heat.
