Over the last week it has seemed I’ve turned and burned each day prior to parking “Sho-Time” in the kitchen of the big Walleyes. Yesterday was one of the easy days for us. We simply put the heat to the Rainy Lake Walleyes. I’d estimate 35 Walleyes exceeded 20 inches in our 8-4pm trip with Leon and Scott. Good Ole Leon seemed had that NRX doubled over every time I looked his way. He’d quickly stand up from the pedestal seat and put the beans to another big eye. SO MUCH fun cracking those heavy fish!! NO monsters hit the net, but a pile of 20-24 inch Walleyes. We had a very close encounter with a tank Walleye who grabbed my 12 inch Walleye immediately after the smaller fish grabbed my H20 Jig. We had it under the boat before it popped off. It…….WAS LARGE MARGE!! Still think I might need a “Time Out” after that close encounter.
Here’s a look at the “Lil Fritter” after the attack.
