Hats off to my return customers of the Paulson party. Nothing MORE enjoyable than fishing with families that truly enjoy not only the fishing aspect of an outing, but the incredible beauty of the area. We struggled a bit on day one with the flat calm and sunshine working hard for a box of eaters with a few big fish, but day 2 spelled REDEMPTION!! The team caught a nice bag of BIG Eyes and had a bout with a 20lb plus pike who apparently likes……..WALLEYES!! Seen it a hundred times, but a 14 inch Walleye all of the sudden became quite LARGE! We almost had both of them in the net, but it wasn’ to be. Congrats to Gail on the ALMOST!!
We’re finding the good fish in that “Transition Zone”. I honestly believe this is the hardest time for the average angler to pin down big numbers of good fish. Some of those fish are shallow, deep and anywhere in between. You really need to focus on wind directions and current and be smart with ongoing hatches to keep your boat over fish.
Congrats team!! Already counting the days til next year!!
