Yesterday’s “Bulls Eye” Walleye fishing!!

Every once in awhile anglers spin a dart directly into the heart of a Walleye bite. Yesterday was truly a “Bulls Eye” perfomance. Landing approximately 50 Walleyes with roughly 40 of those fish being slot’s (30 taping over 20 inches) and 10 keepers.

With the statewide rain being received lately Rainy Lake is on the rise. I would MUCH rather fish rising water than falling water especially during the month of May. I believe the water filtering into this fishery congregates Walleyes in seek of bait fish in many key areas.

    THE BULLS EYE!!

Doubles were simply commonplace yesterday. Actually we pulled out my Hiber-Net along with my conservation series net from Frabill as it seemed one net was often “In Use” when someone else was “HOOKED UP”.

Congrats to Nate and Geno “FIGHT DOC” on this beautiful Rainy Lake Double. (24 and 25 inchers)

Johnny lands a beautiful “GOLDEN” Rainy lake Tanker!! Fish of this color are simply majestic seemingly glowing in the stained waters of Rainy Lake.

That Walleye looked like it saw a ghost. Truth of the matter is it did; A Purple Ghost!! The Purple Ghost from Rapala in the Max Rap series has quickly become a favorite for Johnny!! Can’t say I blame him.

Thanks Frabill!! The doctors here in Ifalls are NOT happy with you. I’m normally a pretty consistent constomer while big Pike are on.

Our fishing adventure ended at Thunderbird Resort yesterday. They prepared our “Eater Sized” walleyes and served one heck of a great meal to hungry anglers!!

Just a cherry on top of a wonderful day!!

    Thanks Tbird!!
